Hon. Khamis Chome Abdi was raised in a smallholder family in Taita Taveta County , where the distance to clean water and a good classroom shaped the questions he has spent his life trying to answer. After studying Economics and Political Science at the University of Nairobi, he returned home, mentoring over four hundred young people into employment and enterprise.Attempted several times vying for Member of Parliament VOI Constituency but failed though never gave up in 2022 was elected and have been restlessly serving the people of VOI, Ensuring all promises met.

The 4th attempt was in 2013 on a TNA Party ticket before taking a break in 2017 elections

Returned to the ballot on a WIPER Party ticket and having garnered 9,418votes He was declared the Member of National Assembly for VOI Constituency
