About
The son of Mwatate, in service of all of Voi.

Hon. Khamis Chome Abdi was raised in a smallholder family in Mwatate, where the distance to clean water and a good classroom shaped the questions he has spent his life trying to answer. After studying Economics and Political Science at the University of Nairobi, he returned home to found the Voi Youth Trust, mentoring over four hundred young people into employment and enterprise. In 2013 he was elected MCA for Sagalla Ward, where he became known less for the speeches he gave and more for the projects that were finished. Today he is running as an independent candidate for Member of Parliament — on a record of delivery, a refusal of patronage politics, and a deep belief that Voi deserves a representative whose first loyalty is to Voi.
"I am not running to make speeches. I am running to finish work."
